Not too long ago I had the opportunity to take some pictures of my adorable neighbor before her First Communion. I went over to the house while she was finishing getting ready (with her grandma helping with the final touches!) and then followed them to the church. She was so excited, which made me remember…

i heart faces photo challenge | all boy

Since I have two boys as do most of my friends and family, I had to enter a shot into the I Heart Faces “All Boy” Photo Challenge. This is a shot of two cousins, the sons of dear friends of mine, taken along the shore of Lake Michigan.

  • my photography gear - Jessica Remus Photography - […] 3. Olympus TG-3 Waterproof 16 MP Digital Camera. I really wanted something I could use underwater but didn’t want to spend the almost $2K I’d need to on an underwater housing for my dslr. This camera is so much fun! And my kids can drop it (which they have) and it’s all good. All of my underwater shots, and some of my beach shots are taken with this camera. You can see some of these shots here and here. This month has been more of the same this winter:  snow and ice. My littlest has fully embraced it as well as the movie “Frozen”, and like so many little kids is completely obsessed with Princesses Anna and Elsa. He’s seen it in the theater four times now. And we have fashioned makeshift “prince capes”…
