May is over? What a month, so much going on. Transitioning from spring to summer, kids ending school, our first weekend at the lake. I’m breaking the rules this month a little and posting more than one shot. Last Friday was Nate’s last day of Pre-K. Because he has a late birthday, it seems like he’s been in preschool forever. But now just like that, it’s over and I have a kindergartener.

I started taking pictures to document small moments and details as I see them, things that otherwise might go unnoticed or forgotten over time. So hopefully I can remember how that moment felt, even the most mundane of them.

“Why are you taking pictures of me putting on my socks, mommy?”. “I just wanted to take pictures of you getting ready for your last day of pre-K”. (and to remember that he always picks out crazy socks that sometimes match but most of the time don’t, and that he still has a thing for the movie Frozen 3 years later, and that no matter how hard I try , I cannot contain his strawberry blond “party hair”)…for now he’s still 5, for now he’s still a preschooler 🙂
