holiday magic
This year we caught a little break because it was unseasonably warm last weekend. We love going to the Brookfield Zoo (and it’s so close to our house that it’s a great diversion for the kids), but we usually skip Holiday Magic because we don’t want to drag our kids out in the polar vortex and freeze our you-know-whats off.
It was 52 degrees, so we piled into the car to go, and so did everyone else in Chicago apparently, I’ve never seen the zoo so crowded before. I am not sure how many lights there are, or how many Christmas trees, but it’s a lot and I could only wonder what the electric bill would be!
And last but not least, the boys talking to the “Talking Tree” who will talk to you when you ask it questions. The boys got a little freaked out and clammed up when it asked them stuff about what they saw at their zoo visit, but it was fun!
