scenes from mackinac island | film
If you’ve never been to Mackinac Island, here it is in a nutshell: fudge, bicycles, horses, fudge, gift shops, more fudge, more bicycles, more horses, really cute Victorian houses, and finally more fudge. They don’t allow motor vehicles on the island so you either walk, ride a bike, or rent a horse/jump on a horse and buggy ride. It really is like a walk back in time, if they had 4,000 fudge shops per capita back in the day, that is.The fudge thing is lost on me because I don’t really like it. But I’m guessing it must be big business for them.
These are just some very, very random shots from the island – I ran out of film while we were out there, and it was the worst time of day to shoot anyway, blazing sun around noon. I need to get back there to take more pictures.
