jill + cody got married | chicago, il

I am most definitely not a wedding photographer, but if a friend or family member is getting married, I’ll bring my camera along to try to grab a few shots from my vantage point. These two were just beaming, so happy, as you can probably tell. And you’ve never seen so many cute flower girls. All of them had on little angel wings and they were having the best time. It was extra fun to go to Jill and Cody’s wedding because I work with Jill (she’s a PhD student in my lab), and I’ve known them from dating, to engaged, to now married. It was so fun to see the final product of all of Jill’s planning over the past year or so, and to finally see her in her dress (which almost didn’t make it here in time from Italy!)  She was just so happy and gorgeous and glowing. (You’re cute too Cody, but it’s really all about the bride…)

Cody is also getting his PhD and rotated through our lab at one point…so these two smarties are perfect for each other. Another sciencey couple, just like me and my hubby, who also met while working in labs at Loyola University. I wonder how many marriages have come out of that place! I know you guys are going to have a long and happy marriage and lots of smart little babies. Wishing you all the best in the years to come!
