So this post is a little late, but since we’ve just now taken down our Christmas lights, I guess not terribly late!  I’ve always loved Christmas.  So much so, that when I was little I would literally throw up the night before because I would get so incredibly excited.  I just about died of excitement every year.  Those few short years when you really, truly, believe…well, there’s nothing quite like it.  And so now, as a parent, it’s such a blast to see my boys on the verge of those precious years.  Where they strain to hear Santa and the reindeer up on the roof, where they are convinced the Elf on the Shelf actually flies home to the North Pole every night to tell Santa how they have been behaving, where they get so excited about it all that they (almost) throw up.  So far, they’ve been able to keep that under control!

And it’s always over too fast.
