Last weekend we had a fun little jaunt with my nephews.  For their Christmas presents, we always try to think of somewhere fun to take them rather than just stuff to buy for them.  We always have a blast.  This year, we went down to Navy Pier to go to lunch and the Imax theater.  I am embarrassed to say that I haven’t seen a movie in a theater since probably around the time when Charlie was born, so 3 years ago or so?  So it was a lot of fun for Tim and I to get out and see a movie too!

We saw The Hobbit in 3D.  Good times, except the 3D part combined with the ginormous Imax screen gave me a little bit of a headache after a while.  Otherwise, it was great.  It was unusually warm last Saturday (almost 50 degrees!) so we goofed around outside on the pier a little bit.  Looking at these pictures I can’t believe how big these guys are getting.  In my mind they are still 4 and 8 years old!
