The cutest little farm
You ever did see. Who would guess that right on the outskirts of Boston is an adorable several hundred year-old farm? It was right around the corner from my sister in law’s place, so we took the boys over to visit the goats. Unfortunately, the goats were behind an electrified fence so we avoided them for the most part, but had such fun exploring the rest of the farm. It was just so sweet and unexpected, and I love that it’s a protected landmark so that it can’t be developed (though the real estate has to be worth millions). It made me smile. Even the basket of carrots was cute. Pretty sure the lady working the farmstand thought I was completely nuts taking a million shots of produce like I had never seen a tomato or carrot before in my life.
The wagon we brought along to carry stuff home used to belong to Tim and his sister Kristin when they were little (as you can see by the plates). Charlie was so proud of himself and insisted on pulling it himself for the entire trip, which did add roughly half an hour to the excursion but such is life with a 3 year old. He was also happy to show me all of the veggies, although he had no idea what they were.
While I was running around taking pictures of everything in sight because I couldn’t get over the cuteness of a farm so close to a major city, the boys were most fascinated with…a bug. Go figure.
I love the stuff you can find scattered around old farms, like this old plow.
Stacey - Love the happy little farm! I love the orange/red themes running throughout the images. It feels so warm and cohesive as a series!
Kim - You know I love this – the processing has such a warm and inviting feel and matches the environment. I love this so much!!
