This month, my one shot is from the circus. We took the boys to Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus just last week, and it brought back a lot of fond memories. For as long as I can remember, this circus has been in Chicago for a few weeks in November. When we were kids, my grandfather would take us every year. A lot of the acts were almost exactly as they were when I was little, and it was so fun to watch my boys taking it all in.

They didn’t allow professional cameras, so I had to do my best from the 200 level of the United Center with my little point-and-shoot camera, which, as my luck would have it, ran out of batteries about 15 minutes into the show. So no lion tamer or trapeze artist pictures, unfortunately. But I was rathar impressed with these ladies, who were riding their bikes in perfect synchrony and also standing on each others shoulders and crazy impossible stuff like that while riding around in tight circles.
