Happy end of July! It might be my favorite month. We’re in the middle of my favorite season, for us that means a lot of lake time and swimming up in Michigan. 4th of July – quite possibly my favorite holiday. We had a blast this year. The boys really got into it this year and had the best time watching my dad set off the fireworks, catching fireflies, playing with glow sticks, eating s’mores…it doesn’t take much to be happy in summertime.

The difference in looks between my boys becomes even more obvious in summer too. C is my brown berry, dark eyes, darker hair. He gets that tropical glow even through that super powered kiddie 50+ SPF sunscreen. And then there’s N, the marshmallow man with his light eyes, fair skin, and strawberry blonde hair.

They discovered some light sabers in our neighbor’s garage, and were having quite the epic battle here. All boy…
